Cold Start Thursday, Warmer Days To Come

Expect temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s around sunrise on Thursday.  Wind chills will be in the lower teens for much of the Commonwealth through mid morning.  Sunshine and a southerly wind will help to take temperatures into the 40s across the state by Thursday afternoon.

We’ll see filtered sunshine on Friday with highs ranging from the mid 40s in northern Kentucky to the lower 50s in southern Kentucky.  The warming trend will continue into the weekend with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 50s on both Saturday and Sunday.

We’ll continue the warming trend early next week with highs in the 50s everyday through Christmas Day, which means a White Christmas is not in the cards this year.  We’ll see a slight chance of rain late in the week.
