High pressure has an influence on our weather today, and there will be lots of sunshine to enjoy! It’s a cold morning, but all of the sunshine plus a SW wind will help warm temps into the Upper 50s & Low 60s across the state. These temps will be 5° – 10° above the average. Enjoy today’s weather because tomorrow brings the opposite.
A cold front and an upper disturbance will bring scattered showers to the area for Friday. We’re expecting mainly light rain with maybe some moderate pockets at times (nothing severe), and rainfall esimates will generally stay less than .25″. However, the timing will be for the morning commute. So, make sure to allow extra travel time as you start your final day of the workweek. Highs will hover around the low 50s with this system, then temps drop off to around freezing behind the cold front for Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon brings sunshine with seasonable temps. Sunday looks good, but the sky turns cloudy with isolated PM showers possible.
Early next week brings a likely chance for rain… Mainly Monday into early Tuesday (we’re monitoring Tuesday to see if wintry weather will be possible before the moisture moves out…stay tuned). It’ll be a mild start with highs near 60° Monday, but a cold front will cross early Tuesday…and temps drastically drop. Expect sub-freezing temps by Wednesday morning with Mid 20s. Highs Wednesday only look to barely reach the freezing mark…burrr!
