High pressure sits across the Southeastern U.S, and a southerly wind is blowing into our Region. The High will be close enough to keep our atmosphere stable with lots of sunshine today, and the warmer wind flow will bring in cozy afternoon temps near 60°. Make the best of today because our next system is developing to the west…arriving late Tuesday night. Increasing clouds can be expected ahead of this system throughout the day on Tuesday, and a few showers are also possible before 5PM. However, the best chance for scattered showers will be Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning as the cold front crosses the state. Rainfall estimates of .25″ – .50″ are possible, and get ready for WINDY conditions Tuesday evening – Wednesday with gusts over 30mph.
Behind the front, temps fall from near 60° early Wednesday morning to lows in the 30s by Thanksgiving morning. Highs on Thanksgiving will stay in the upper 40s with mainly cloudy skies, and areas west of I-65 could get a few showers. Stay tuned for updates. Black Friday morning brings more 30s with highs near 50° by the afternoon and scattered showers. Then, the rain chances go up even more by the kick-off to the weekend with highs near 60°.
