High pressure will have control of our weather today. Expect quiet conditions, yet clouds will be an issue for some areas. Morning fog will lift into a low cloud deck, and mainly cloudy skies may linger into the afternoon for some areas. If so, this will hinder the Highs for today…keeping many areas in the upper 40s near 50°. Areas across W. KY will have a lot more sunshine, and temps will be able to reach the Mid-Upper 50s there. Tonight, quiet weather remains with lows near 40°.
Thursday, a cold front will move into our Region. Ahead of it, expect highs near 60° but showers will gradually roll in. It looks like only spotty showers are possible Thursday afternoon, but rain is likely by Thursday night into Friday morning as the front crosses our area. The front will move into TN and stall…giving most of KY a drier Friday afternoon. Then, an area of low pressure will develop along the stalled front and move into our area by Saturday morning…bringing another wave of rain. As of now, it looks like rainfall estimates Thursday – Saturday will range between 1″ – 1.5″ (isolated areas up to 2″). Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the trends, and we’ll keep you posted on rainfall timing.
Otherwise, it’ll be a cooler weekend with highs in the 40s and morning temps around the freezing mark (32°) by Sunday.
As we head into Thanksgiving Week, temperatures are trending warmer! For now, it looks like temps will hover around 60° by next Tuesday… stay tuned.
