High pressure has control of our weather for the next day or so. Expect freezing mornings (20s) through Sunday morning with afternoon temps remaining 10-15 degrees below average through at least Saturday. Highs today will stay in the low-mid 40s, but there will be lots of sunshine to help counteract the chilly weather. Saturday, afternoon temps climb into the upper 40s…so a little warmer. Sunday, a southerly wind returns … warming things up into the low 50s ahead of a cold front that crosses overnight into Monday. There could be spotty showers through Monday morning with this front, but there won’t be much in the way of colder air behind it. Monday’s highs will stay in the low 50s, and the overall trend shows a warming pattern heading towards the Middle of next week with Mid-Upper 50s expected (getting back to seasonable averages).
However, forecast models are showing some inconsistencies regarding a frontal system moving across our area on Tuesday. So, for now… we’ll just keep spotty showers in the forecast for Tuesday. Stay tuned for updates. Forecast models do agree about a cold front crossing by Thursday of next week. We’ll continue to watch the trends and keep you posted.
In the meantime, enjoy the uneventful weather this weekend.
