Today is the first full day of winter, but it’s going to feel more like early spring. Expect partly sunny conditions today with primarily high clouds streaming over the area. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday as highs top out in the middle 50s. Winds should be calm.
Calm weather continues Sunday night underneath a partly cloudy sky with chilly lows in the middle 30s. Mother Nature’s gift to us all this Christmas is early spring-like weather. Temperatures Christmas Eve and Day should crack the 60° mark. We’ll have a mostly sunny-to-partly cloudy sky both days, and it will stay dry. It’s shaping up to be one of the top 5 warmest Christmases in Louisville’s history.
There are signs we will stay in the upper 50s/lower 60s into next weekend. Our next chance for rain arrives Friday into the closing days of 2019. With such a warm weather pattern our snow opportunities are minuscule.
