As Santa comes into town it will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows dropping into the 30s to near 40 in the city centers.
Christmas Day will feature some high clouds with an increase sun later in the day. It will be a very warm day with highs in the mid to upper 60s nearing the record highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Thursday and Friday will remain mild with highs in the low to mid 60s with more clouds than sun. There is a slight chance of a light shower or sprinkle on Friday.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy and still mild with highs in the low 60s. A few showers are possible in far western Kentucky later in the day.
More widespread rain and even thunderstorms are likely later Saturday night into Sunday along a cold front. It will turn colder next week Monday and Tuesday with temperatures back to near average, in the 40s.
