Expect a cool start to our Saturday with temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s around daybreak. The afternoons will be warmer over the weekend with highs in the 70s on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. While most of the weekend will be dry, there is a small chance of rain late Saturday into Saturday night, mainly across the southeastern half of the state. Eastern Kentucky may see a few lingering showers early Sunday morning.
A much better chance of rain will move into the Commonwealth early next week as a cold front approaches from the northwest. It will be windy Monday as the front approaches with rain likely into the afternoon and through Monday night. One to two inches of rain will be possible from the storm. It will be cooler behind that system with highs in the lower to middle 60s through the middle of the week.
