The last of the clouds and rain affiliated with a passing cold front has moved out of KY. Now, we are left with cooler weather that’s closer to average…some sunshine…and BREEZY conditions. Thankfully, the winds won’t be as gusty as yesterday, but WSW winds could gust up to 25mph at times. Highs will be around 10° cooler than yesterday with mid 60s expected. Tonight, temps will fall down to near 40° under a clear sky.
High pressure will have a grip on our weather through Thursday morning, then a cold front approaches our area out of the Plains. From here, the forecast gets a bit tricky:
Forecast models aren’t in agreement on whether a cold front will cross the area…or if an area of low pressure rides up that front out of the South as it stalls over KY…bringing additional rain. So, for now, there are low rain chances in the forecast from Friday through Sunday until there is more consistency with the forecast models. For now, the rain chance forecast confidence is low during that timeframe…so, stay tuned for updates.
As for temps, it’ll get a little warmer each day through Thursday with highs around 70° for “Friday Eve.”
