Finally, a Return to Fall Weather!

A cold front crossed our area yesterday, and temps went from “Record Breaking” to Comfy/Cozy behind it courtesy of a Northerly wind.  This morning, 50s & low 60s dominate…and the afternoon brings highs in the seasonable 70s.  Temps will be roughly 20 degrees cooler this afternoon compared to yesterday…nice!  It will feel fantastic tonight as more 50s are on deck through Saturday morning.  However, a southerly wind will usher in warmer mid-80s by Saturday afternoon. This warm up will take place ahead of our next system that will arrive on Sunday.

This upcoming system is a cold front that will bring us the best chances for rain we’ve had in a while. So, plan on carrying the umbrella on Sunday with the best coverage of rain in the afternoon/evening.  Rainfall estimates look impressive too… with some areas getting anywhere from 1″ – 1.5″ … isolated areas up to 2″.  Some areas (especially east of I-65 will have rain spill over into the start of your Monday).

Next week, cooler Fall-Like air sticks around…but rain chances taper off as high pressure moves in.  Stay tuned for updates…
