Last Day for Record Heat. Cooler Air Arrives Tomorrow

Many cities in KY, including Louisville, have had Record-Breaking heat almost everyday since last Friday!  Today, this sizzling trend continues, but it’s also the finale to this heatwave.  Highs will reach the low-mid 90s, and records will be broken today. Then, a cold front will cross our state this afternoon…bringing MUCH COOLER WEATHER behind it by way of a NW wind. Lows tonight will fall into the low-mid 50s leading to a comfy/cool start to you Friday!  Highs will only climb into the mid-upper 70s by Friday afternoon…which will truly feel like FALL!

It will warm up into the 80s for Saturday as the winds return out of the south ahead of our next stronger system that will arrive on Sunday. The beauty of this 2nd wave will be the rain it’s expected to bring!  Drought dominates most of the state, and this system looks to bring a good chance for healthy rainfall…with some areas possibly getting over an inch.  Stay tuned…
