FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky’s next governor is preparing for the inauguration.
Andy Beshear will be sworn in as Kentucky’s 63rd governor December 10. Events in Frankfort that day begin with a breakfast reception at 7:30 a.m. followed by the parade at noon and the swearing-in ceremony at 2 p.m.
All of the events are open to the public. The Beshears also announced they’re going to be holding a new inauguration event – an open house at the capitol following the swearing-in.
Britainy Beshear, the soon-t0-be First Lady of Kentucky said, “The state capitol belongs to the people and this event symbolizes our commitment and openness and access to your government.”
Andy Beshear added, “We cannot wait to celebrate on December 10 and welcome a new chapter here in Kentucky.”
There will also be two inaugural balls happening simultaneously on the capitol grounds that night. You can find out all the inaugural details on the state’s website.
