This morning, temps were in the upper 50s and low 60s with very low dew point temps….nice! It truly felt like Fall, but due to a southerly wind…a Summer-like afternoon is on deck with low 90s expected. Many cities will challenge record highs today including the cities of Louisville, Lexington, and Covington. This is only the beginning as a “heat wave” is setting up since we’ll have a series of 90° days to endure. Each day, it could get a degree or two hotter with Mid 90s expected by early next week as we wrap up September. So, plan to dress light this weekend…and make sure to stay hydrated if you plan to do anything strenuous during the heat of the day.
Rain, where is it? Well, unfortunately, we won’t have a good shot at some much needed rain until Wednesday night-Thursday morning with a cold front that’s set to cross the area. Hopefully, this materializes…but stay tuned for updates. Until then, stay cool in this Summertime heat.
