It seems like Summer just doesn’t want to let go! Yesterday, we had record heat in terms of both: daily highs and highest all-time temps for October. Today, expect a repeat performance with highs back in the Mid-Upper 90s…breaking more records. Also, when the humidity is factored in, it will feel like it’s as hot as 98° – 101° through the afternoon. So, continue with your heat precautions because this heat can make you sick if you’re not careful.
A cold front will move into our region on Thursday, but it won’t cross early enough to keep temps out of the 90s. Yet, behind the front, we will FINALLY tap into so FALL LIKE WEATHER! Highs for Friday will stay in the 70s for most cities, and the mornings will be comfy (in the 50s) through Saturday morning. No rain is expected with Thursday’s Front, but another front moves in Sunday and THIS one brings the best chance of rain that we’ve had in a while. Showers could linger into Monday morning, but skies will gradually clear as the day goes on. Yet, the cool Fall air will stick around as we start next week.
