Most of Sunday will be quiet and dry under a mostly cloudy sky. However, by late this afternoon and evening, rain and snow will move into parts of Kentucky. Areas north of I-64 will have the highest chance of seeing snow or a wintry mix. Farther south, showers will develop. After midnight, temperatures will warm slightly, turning everything over to rain for all of the Commonwealth. Snowfall could accumulate this evening in northern Kentucky, where up to 2” are possible. Slick spots on roads may develop.
As the precipitation changes over to all rain by Monday morning, conditions should improve. However, Monday will be soggy with showers . Parts of south central and eastern Kentucky could see consistent moderate to heavy rain. Over 2’’ of rainfall are possible in these areas by Tuesday morning.
