Welcome to 2020! The weather will be nice for the 1st day of the year with lots of sunshine & highs near 50°. Hopefully, you can enjoy today because the weather takes a turn for the “rainy” starting Tomorrow. Thursday, rain will move in throughout the morning, and it will continue (on & off) through Friday night! This makes localized flooding a concern as anywhere from 1.5″ – 2.0″ of rain will be possible. Thankfully, it won’t be terribly cold as both Thursday & Friday bring highs in the 50s.
Saturday, a cold front will cross early in the morning. So, expect falling temps behind the front..with temps cold enough to support snow by late morning into the afternoon. There will still be plentiful moisture around as this colder air moves in; so, snow is expected for the 1st day of the weekend…and light accumulations are possible. Stay tuned as we continue to monitor this system.
Sunday, the sunshine returns…and highs will reach the upper 40s.
