Great Outdoor Weather Today!

A dry air mass remains over Kentucky, and dew points are comfortably in the 50s.  This will lead to a very nice day for outdoor plans since it won’t be muggy, and temps will be close to average in the Mid 80s.  Tonight, temps will stay in the low-mid 60s (so a bit warmer than last night).  Friday, ahead of a cold front, afternoon highs rise back into the upper 80s with dew points climbing back into the mid 60s. So, it’ll feel more muggy by Friday evening.  As the previously mentioned cold front moves toward the Ohio River by Friday afternoon, spotty showers are possible for areas north of I-64.  Otherwise, expect spotty afternoon showers across the rest of the state Saturday through Labor Day with upper 80s dominating.  Therefore, the weather looks good for any outdoor holiday plans since it will be far from a wash-out.

**Tropics Update:  Dorian is a hurricane, and it could become a Major hurricane (Category 3 or higher in the coming days). As of now, the forecast has Dorian bringing major impacts to parts of Florida by Labor Day. It’s just too early to say where exactly. Stay tuned…
