After much needed beneficial rain yesterday, more rain chances are in today’s forecast. A cold front will cross KY this afternoon/evening, and showers will impact our area ahead of it. There will be a chance for spotty AM showers, but the best timing for showers/storms will be this afternoon & evening. An additional .25″ – .5″ is possible (on average), and there could be some isolated severe storms that produce damaging winds across extreme NNE KY. It’ll also be warmer than yesterday since today won’t be as rain soaked. Highs will reach the Mid 80s.
Tonight, the cold front moves out…and the skies gradually clear. LESS HUMID air will filter into our area on a NW wind, and it’ll lead to a more comfy day on Wednesday. High Pressure will have control; so, expect lots of sunshine with more low-mid 80s on deck.
By Thursday morning, the drier air will have settled…as dew points will be in the 50s. So, expect to start your Thursday with lows in the upper 50s to around 60°…this will feel GREAT! It’ll be another day of sunshine with highs climbing into the Mid 80s. Winds return out of the south by Friday ahead of a weak cold front that will cross…making it muggier and hotter with upper 80s.
*Your Labor Day Weekend brings Mid-Upper 80s with isolated showers. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer.
