It will be cold Wednesday night into Thursday morning with low temperatures in the lower 30s. Wind chills will be in the 20s through the mid morning hours on Thursday. Clouds will increase from west to east throughout the day with rain moving into the northwestern half of the state late Thursday night into Friday. It will be breezy and mild Thursday afternoon with highs in the middle to upper 50s. Winds will be out of the south between 10 and 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. It will be even warmer Friday and Saturday with very gusty winds expected into the weekend.
As far as rain is concerned, expect showers to move into the northwestern half of the state late Thursday night into Friday, with several rounds possible throughout the day Friday. Another round will move in Friday night into Saturday, which will bring the heaviest rainfall of the next few days. In fact, a few thunderstorms will mix in with our showers on Saturday, with a few isolated strong storms possible across southern Kentucky. Dry conditions will return Sunday into early next week.
