Calmer weather for a couple of days

The rain has gone away, at least for a couple days. Sunday will be much cooler than Saturday; around 25 degrees cooler. Thankfully winds will be light, generally from the south. Clouds will be hanging around through today with a mostly cloudy to overcast sky.

Clouds will hang tight overnight Sunday into Monday, but we should be able to warm up into the middle 50s despite all the clouds. Monday will again be dry with light winds. However, late Monday night may bring some light showers to the region, particularly south of Louisville.

The chance for light showers continues Tuesday and Wednesday, with Wednesday being a better day to see light rain in the area. Highs during this time will return again to the lower 60s, but will back off again Thursday. We look ahead to next Friday and Saturday which is again looking very wet.

TODAY: Much cooler but dry. Partly sunny. High: 48. Wind: Light south.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and calm. Low: 38. Wind: Light south.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy but warmer. High: 55.
