Rain and Gusty Winds This Weekend

It will be chilly again on Friday with morning temps in the 20s and afternoon highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s.  Wind chills will run about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the temperatures all day long.

A storm system will approach the area Friday evening bringing the potential for a light wintry mix to areas near and north of the Ohio River.  The only areas that may see enough moisture to overcome the dry air Friday evening will be around northern Kentucky near Covington, where we could see a light wintry mix of ice pellets and snow.  No problems are expected on the roads.  Rain will be around for the first half of our Saturday, with gusty winds expected all day long.  Gusts could top out between 40 and 45 mph.  It will be a relatively mild day with highs in the 50s.

A strong cold front will clear all of the moisture out late Saturday afternoon with much cooler air moving in for the second half of the weekend.  Expect highs in the upper 20 to lower 30s on Sunday with similar afternoon temperatures early next week.  Overnight lows will be in the teens early next week.
