A potent storm system is pushing across the Commonwealth for the first half of the weekend, bringing showers and gusty winds to the region. Rain will be the most likely from the morning through the early afternoon before taping off to showers for the rest of the day. Winds will be gusty today, possibly over 40 mph at times.
The cold front will swing through this evening and tonight, with winds shifting from southwesterly to westerly. Cold air will pour into Kentucky, dropping our temperatures into the teens and 20s by early Sunday morning. Highs on Sunday won’t make it above freezing for most of the Commonwealth.
