Rain showers will spread across the Commonwealth into Saturday morning. The steadiest rain will be around for the first half of the day with dry conditions returning by Saturday evening after a cold front moves through. Rain totals for most of the Commonwealth will range from a third to a half of an inch, although areas near the Ohio River could see a touch more.
The other weather story on Saturday will be the gusty winds. Expect sustained winds between 20 and 30 mph with gusts as high as 45 mph. For that reason, a Wind Advisory is in effect throughout much of the day. Cold air will start to filter into the state Saturday night. Wind chills will range from 0 to 15 degrees around daybreak on Sunday. Expect highs in the upper 20 to lower 30s Sunday afternoon with similar temperatures early next week. Overnight lows will be in the teens early next week. We’ll see warmer air by the middle of the week.
