For the third Saturday in a row a cloudy damp start to the weekend in the viewing area. Temperatures have remained in the upper 30s this afternoon with cloudy breezy conditions. At 2 pm the temperature in Louisville was 38 degrees. Southwest breezes will continue with winds of 10-15 miles per hour and some gusts up to 20. Temperatures will move little for the balance of the afternoon with only a slight chance for some drizzle and flurries.
Clouds linger until tomorrow when temperatures warm in the low to mid 40s which is close to average for late January. Tomorrow night brings a slight chance for light rain as another disturbance moves through the area.
For the coming week sunshine will be in limited supply as the cloudiness lingers. We are watching mid-week as models are trying to bring a moisture starved system into the area from the north. With limited moisture, some light showers in northern parts of the viewing area. No trip to the deep freeze as we close out January. Daily highs in be in the mid to upper 40s.
THIS AFTERNOON: Cloudy and breezy. Temperatures in the upper 30s.. Wind: SW 10-15 gusting to 20 mph.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with a mix of rain and snow showers. Low: 35. Wind: W 5-10 mph.
SUNDAY: Cloudy with a few showers possible late. High: 43. Wind: S 5-10 mph.
