Scattered showers are rolling across parts of Southern and Southeastern KY this morning, but they should move out by Noon. Otherwise, it’ll be a mainly cloudy day for the eastern 2/3 of the state. Highs will be close to average with widespread 40s. Tonight, lows will drop down near the freezing mark under mainly cloudy skies. Tuesday brings cloudier skies for most of the state with highs in the low 40s. Wednesday, it looks like a wintry mix is possible for parts of Western, Southern, and SE Kentucky…with less of an impact for areas along I-64 and points north. This moisture will be affiliated with a system mainly impacting the Gulf Coast states.
High pressure takes over for Thursday with mid 40s expected. Friday into Saturday, we’re watching the potential for another system to impact our state. As for now, the forecast models are not agreeing on impacts for Friday, but there are some consistencies regarding a chance for a wintry mix on Saturday. Stay tuned for updates.
