Quiet Today, but You’ll Need the Umbrella Friday

A few areas received some light snow showers overnight, and you may have walked out to ice on your car this AM.  Regardless, that system is gone…and we get to enjoy a quiet day with a mix of sun & clouds. Highs will be seasonable into the Mid 40s.

Friday, the next system moves in bringing a wintry mix to some areas before sunrise. Otherwise, it’ll bring light rain showers throughout the day with up to .25″ – .50″ possible.  Extreme Northern KY (around Covington) could have some light snow accumulations Friday AM (but nothing more than a dusting before the precip changes over to all rain).  Highs for Friday will reach the Mid-Upper 40s.

Saturday, isolated showers are possible east of I-65. Otherwise, it’ll be mainly cloudy with highs in the Mid-Upper 40s.

Super Bowl Sunday (or Groundhog Day), expect beautiful SPRING LIKE WEATHER!  Highs will reach around 60° with lots of sunshine!  It’ll be a perfect way to wrap up the weekend, and to enjoy the outdoors.  The unseasonably warm weather will follow us into the start of the workweek with 60s on deck for both Monday and Tuesday.  A strong cold front will approach the area early next week, and it’ll bring back the chance for rain (mainly Tuesday). Once it crosses, get ready for the temps to tank behind it.
