Clouds will thicken up through the overnight hours with showers likely as we head into Friday morning. While most of the state will see rain, we will likely mix in a few light snow showers near the Ohio River. Most areas will be above freezing Friday morning, so the roads should be just wet. Light grassy accumulations will be possible north of I-64 with perhaps a few tenths of an inch around Covington and surrounding areas. Any locations that see the rain/snow mix will transition to all rain by late morning. Rain showers will end from west to east during the afternoon and evening hours. Areas west of I-65 will likely be dry by mid afternoon with dry conditions west of I-75 by mid evening. Areas east of I-75 will dry out after midnight.
While most of Saturday will be dry, it is possible we could see an isolated shower or a little bit of drizzle. Either way, it will be a cool and cloudy day. Sunday will be sunny and much warmer with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Clouds return Monday with rain possible late in the day and especially into Monday night. Rain showers will linger into the middle of the week with highs in the lower to middle 60s on Monday and Tuesday. Cooler air returns Wednesday into Thursday.
