A cold front will push southeast of the Commonwealth Friday night into Saturday morning, which will allow chilly air to spill into the state. Temperatures will be in the lower to middle 30s around daybreak Saturday with wind chills in the 20s. Clouds will decrease into the afternoon with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Temperatures will drop down to near freezing Saturday night into Sunday morning, so any potted plants that you have put outside over the last few weeks will need to be moved indoors. Expect highs in the lower to middle 50s Sunday afternoon with a few light showers across the western half of the state. Light rain will spread into the eastern half of the state by late Sunday into Sunday night.
Temperatures will gradually warm next week with highs ranging from the middle 50s to the lower 60s Monday and Tuesday. We’ll see highs near 70 degrees by mid to late week. We’ll see several disturbances move across the state next week which will bring rain to the area Tuesday and Thursday.
