President Trump Extends Tax Filing Deadline

WASHINGTON, DC — Tax day is being pushed back to July because of coronavirus.

Taxpayers and businesses will now have until July 15, 2020 to file and make payments.

During the extended time there will be no interest or penalites on money owed.

But if you have a refund coming, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says you should still file now.

Mnuching announced the extension Friday in a Tweet.
