A warm front lifts north across KY today, and it’ll expose us to unseasonably warm weather with Mid-Upper 60s today and 70s Thursday & Friday. However, it’ll also expose us to an environment that’ll be prime for showers and storms. So, plan on wet weather the rest of the workweek.
This morning, only spotty showers are possible. However, the afternoon brings a LIKELY chance for showers and storms with a low-end (Level 1 out of 5) risk for isolated severe storms. Damaging wind will be the primary threat. Thursday, more showers and storms are possible…but not expecting a wash-out.
Thursday NIGHT – Friday MORNING, plan on numerous showers/storms ahead of a cold front…and severe weather will, again, be possible. Damaging wind will be the primary threat, but isolated tornadoes will also be possible. Have multiple ways of getting severe weather alerts now through Friday!
FLOODING… is also a big concern considering anywhere from 2-3 inches of rain are possible today through Friday. Thankfully, conditions improve behind Friday’s cold front…but it will be MUCH COLDER. Temps go from the 70s Friday to 30s by Saturday morning…and highs near 50 degrees by Saturday afternoon.
