A cold front will take its time crossing our region through Tuesday morning. Ahead of it, expect highs near 60° & periods of rain…at times moderate to heavy. There’s also a chance for a few storms, and areas across S/SW KY could encounter some isolated severe storms with damaging wind being the primary threat. So, stay weather aware today, pack your patience traveling on wet roads, and make sure to take the umbrella wherever you go today. Rainfall estimates of around .5″ are possible north… with up to 1″ (locally more) south near the TN Border. Rain will continue overnight through just before day break on Tuesday, then the weather will gradually improve as the front crosses front west to east. Expect lots of sunshine by Midday Tuesday and beyond with highs remaining near 60°. (It will also be breezy today with gusts over 20mph at times)
It won’t get much colder until after Thursday night’s cold front crosses….leading to highs only in the 40s on Friday afternoon. Until then, enjoy the mild weather! As of now, the upcoming weekend looks good… stay tuned.
