Dry, But Cool Start To April

Expect dry conditions across the Commonwealth as we head into Wednesday morning, which is also the first day of April.  Temperatures will start in the upper 30s to lower 40s and end up in the middle 50s by mid to late afternoon.  The “normal” high temperature in early April is in the 60s for most of Kentucky.

With the exception of western Kentucky, clouds will be stubborn to break throughout most of our Wednesday.  Clouds will erode late in the day and especially into Wednesday evening.  We’ll see filtered sunshine on Thursday with afternoon highs in the 60s.  Highs will top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s by Friday under partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Expect mostly cloudy skies this weekend with a slight chance of showers on both Saturday and Sunday.  Highs will be near 70 degrees on Saturday with highs in the middle 60s on Sunday.  A slight chance of rain will remain in the forecast into early next week with highs in the lower to middle 70s through midweek.
