Showers and storms over Ohio and Indiana tonight will drift into the Commonwealth early Wednesday morning. While the severe threat will mainly be north of the Ohio River, a few strong storms can’t be ruled out north of I-64 between 3 AM and 7 AM Wednesday. Showers will weaken through the morning hours and most areas will see dry conditions as we head into the afternoon.
It will be warm again Wednesday afternoon with highs near 80 degrees. A strong cold front will move in Wednesday night, which will bring another chance of storms to the Commonwealth. A few of the storms may be strong to severe, especially after midnight.
Dry conditions will return for Thursday, but the winds will be very gusty. The air behind the aforementioned cold front will be much cooler with highs only in the 50s on both Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will dip into the 30s for most of the Commonwealth Thursday night and Friday night. Temperatures will warm a bit over the weekend with a slight chance of showers on Sunday.
