Unseasonably Warm Today, but Storms Move In Soon

We are in a very warm pattern today, and highs will climb to around 80 degrees this afternoon! Temps will be roughly 15-20 degrees above the average.  Rain isn’t a big threat, but spotty showers are possible this evening.

Otherwise, we have to get ready for 2 rounds of storms that will impact our great state.  The 1st round will move in Wednesday morning ahead of a cold front.  Areas across Northern KY could experience some isolated severe storms…with Hail and Damaging Wind being the main threats.   The storms should move out by mid afternoon Wednesday for most areas…leading to a quick rebound in temps back to around 80 degrees.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning, another round of showers/storms (and possible severe weather) is expected ahead of a stronger cold front.  So,  make sure to have multiple ways of getting severe weather alerts Tonight through Thursday morning.

Behind Thursday’s front, expect much colder air to return.  Highs on Thursday will stay in the upper 50s (below average), and lows will drop into the 30s by Friday morning…burr!  Friday afternoon brings lots of sunshine, but it’ll remain cool with 50s for highs.

Easter Weekend, expect highs near 60 degrees … with a dry Saturday but Showers for Easter.
