Strong storms will move through the Commonwealth tonight ahead of a potent cold front. A few storms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail. Though the chance of tornadic activity is low, an isolated tornado will be possible.
Dry conditions will return for Thursday and the wind will be very gusty. The air behind the aforementioned cold front will be much cooler with highs only in the 50s on both Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will dip into the 30s for most of the Commonwealth Thursday night and Friday night. Frost will be possible during that time for much of the state, so be sure to cover up or move any sensitive vegetation indoors.
Temperatures will warm a touch over the weekend with showers likely Saturday night into Sunday. Cooler than average conditions will stick around through most of next week.
