Freeze Warning will take effect Early Wednesday morning as temps are expected to drop below 32 degrees for several hours…which could cause harm to sensitive plants. So, tonight, make sure to cover up tender vegetation or bring inside potted plants if possible. Lows will generally range from 30 degrees to 25 degrees across the state.
However, throughout today, it’ll just be cloudy and unseasonably cool (by 20 degrees or more). Highs will generally hover around 50 degrees. Thankfully, as an upper level disturbance moves out of our region, sunshine should start making an appearance by late afternoon across W. KY. The clearing trend will gradually shift east by the evening, but not before areas East of I-65 possibly catch a few spotty light showers.
Once we get past the Frigid Wednesday morning, a quick moving cold front will bring a few showers to the area by the late afternoon & evening. It will be a bit warmer on Wednesday afternoon (ahead of the rain) with highs in the upper 50s.
Expect unseasonably cool temps through the weekend with highs mainly near 60 degrees each afternoon, but the best chance for rain this week looks to be Friday. Stay tuned…
