Clearing skies, light winds and dry air will set us up for a cold morning on Wednesday. Most areas will dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s by the time the sun comes up. For that reason, a Freeze Warning is in effect for the entire Commonwealth. Be sure to cover up any sensitive plants or move them indoors.
Expect sunshine through the morning hours with increasing clouds through the afternoon. It will be breezy with winds between 10 and 20 mph and highs in the middle to upper 50s. A few showers will move into the northern half of the state by late afternoon into the evening hours. A lingering light shower will be possible across the southern half of the state from mid to late evening.
It will be cold again Wednesday night into Thursday morning with lows in the lower to middle 30s. Expect highs in the middle to upper 50s Thursday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Rain returns to the area on Friday with highs once again in the middle to upper 50s.
It will be a touch warmer this weekend with highs near 60 on Saturday and in the lower to middle 60s on Sunday. We’ll stay dry Saturday, but a few showers will be possible on Sunday. A warming trend is likely next week.
