LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In December 2019, Representative John “Bam” Carney was hospitalized and placed in intensive care after severe pancreatitis.
Now more than 100 days later, Carney is out of the hospital and recovering in a Louisville rehabilitation center.
Carney was able to eat Jello and call his family for the first time the other day. A huge improvement after months of uncertainty.
Senator Max Wise, R-Campbellsville, says Carney still has a long way to go.
“We do rejoice in this good news, and we know there is still a long way to go for bam. The family and I and others ask for continued prayers in his recovery that we one day will be able to have representative carney back here in these chambers.”
