Adopt A Hero Program Gives First Responders Free Meals

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. — Waffle House is asking for donations for their Adopt A Hero program to help provide and deliver free hot meals to first responders.

For every $8 that is donated to the program a free hot meal gets prepared and delivered to local front line workers that are fighting against the coronavirus.

“As part of our culture at a Waffle House, we’re typically the last ones to close. We stay open so those first responders can have a hot meal.” Area Vice President for Waffle House in Lexington and Northern Kentucky, Joe Moody said.

If you are a first responder that would like an Adopt A Hero meal, you can contact your local Waffle House to see if there are any meals available. If the meals are not available at that time, you will receive 50% off with any purchase.

You can donate at one of the 6 locations in Lexington or the Waffle House in Mt. Sterling. You can also call into your local Waffle House to give your donation over the phone.
