HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky family wants to spread their news with the whole commonwealth.
A 103-year-old woman recovered from her bout with coronavirus.
“It can be beat,” said Adam Harris, Virginia Harris’s grandson. “It can be nasty, but it can be beat.”
Harris’ family said she had symptoms of nausea and an aggressive fever.
“We knew she was really sick and we didn’t know what was going on,” said Harris.
Thankfully, healthcare workers successfully stabilized her and opened the doors for her to recover.
Harris wants his grandmother’s story to serve as inspiration for those who have contracted the virus.
“We just hope her story gives some hope to other elderly and younger folks around the Nation,” said Harris. “Without hope, people tend to give up.”
