Expect quiet weather today with lots of sunshine and seasonable temps courtesy of high pressure having an influence. However, the quiet weather won’t last long. A weak cold front will cross our area Tuesday morning, and it’ll bring a chance for showers with it…mainly after Midnight. No severe weather is expected, but brief downpours are possible. Otherwise, the front crosses by mid-morning Tuesday for most of the state….leading to nice / cooler weather the rest of Tuesday. Highs TODAY will reach near 70 degrees, but tomorrow (Tuesday)…highs stay in the low 60s (in the wake of the front).
Tuesday night into Wednesday AM (several hours before dawn), look up for a good view of the Lyrid Meteor Shower! The sky will be clear, and there will be a lack of moonlight… so up to 15 meteors per hour are possible (away from city lights). Wednesday morning will be chilly, however, with lows in the 30s. Wednesday afternoon brings a rebound to Mid-Upper 60s with fair weather. Enjoy it because Thursday brings a likely chance for rain as our next system moves in. Rainfall estimates of around 1″ will be possible with highs in the low-mid 60s.
Behind Thursday’s rain-maker, Friday brings sunshine with highs near 70 degrees. A few showers look possible for Saturday, but stay tuned for updates.
