Pleasantly Cool and Breezy Today / Cold Tonight

A cold front crosses the state this morning. A few showers rolled across the state early this morning ahead of it, but a mainly clear sky and COOLER conditions can be expected in its wake.  Highs will be roughly 5-10 degrees cooler than yesterday afternoon near 60.  It’ll also be breezy with winds gusting over 20mph at times.   As high pressure moves over our area tonight, winds will relax and skies will remain clear.  This will lead to a COLD night with lows falling into the widespread 30s across the state.  Areas east of I-65 will have a better chance for possible Frost developing as lows fall into the low-mid 30s.  So, protect any sensitive plants tonight.

Wednesday starts cold, but it’ll be a pleasant afternoon with highs rebounding to near 70 degrees.  However, this warm up will take place ahead of our next rain maker that’ll arrive Thursday.  Plan for a Rainy Thursday with rainfall estimates of 1″ – 1.5″.  Thankfully, severe weather isn’t expected…but some areas may get a few storms (especially areas closer to the TN Border).

The next good chance for rain will then be on Saturday. Stay tuned…
