HAPPY EARTH DAY! It’s the 50th Earth Day Anniversary!
The weather will be nice if you want to get out for fresh air today. After a chilly morning, temps will climb to near 70 degrees this afternoon which is “average” for this time of year. The morning will be dominated by sunshine, but clouds will gradually take over….starting in Western KY then shifting east. Tonight, it won’t be nearly as cold as last night with lows staying in the 50s. However, rain moves in late tonight…leading to a soggy Thursday.
Thursday’s rain will be affiliated with an area of Low pressure that’ll slide across the state. Rain is likely for most areas throughout the day, but there could be some areas with a break from the rain in the afternoon. Unfortunately, that may lead to destabilizing the atmosphere… which may mean more afternoon/evening storms (and some could reach severe limits). So, just keep your weather guard up on Thursday afternoon/evening. Main threat for severe weather will be due to damging wind. Highs Thursday will range from low 60s north to near 70 degrees south.
Friday, it dries out….with highs near 70 degrees. It looks like more rain moves in with another system by Saturday. Stay tuned.
