It has been a chilly, gloomy, wet period of weather over the past 36 hours, but changes are underway.
A cold front will clear offshore today, taking most of the rain away with it with time. Look for intervals of sunshine with breezy afternoon conditions today. Up in the mountains, some snow showers will kick into gear, and those chances will continue into tonight.
In the western Atlantic waters, high winds and swells will keep very unfavorable boating conditions in place. Gale Warnings are in effect for the offshore waters with Small Craft Advisories up for the Coastal Waters.
Great weather will then unfold tomorrow and Monday before our next round of rain arrives Tuesday.
