Man arrested, victim injured following shooting near Paddock Shops

Police said the victim has been hospitalized and is in critical condition after the Sunday afternoon shooting.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A man has been charged after a shooting near the Paddock Shops in eastern Jefferson County left a victim injured Sunday.

Christian Morrison, 24, has been charged with one count of assault in connection with the shooting.

Eighth Division officers responded to the 4000 block of Summit Plaza Drive around 2:30 p.m. after reports of the shooting.

The victim, who has not been identified, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to UofL Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators have not determined if this were a road rage incident and are continuing to investigate any and all leads.
