Sunny skies and warmer temps for Wednesday

We’ll be breezy tomorrow ahead of a front that brings rain and snow Friday into the weekend.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Clear skies and chilly temps this morning, but we’ll see plenty of sunshine throughout the day to help warm us up to the mid and upper 40s this afternoon. We’ll continue the mid-week warm up as high pressure stays over us and a few clouds filter in on Thursday.

Overnight Thursday into Friday, an area of low pressure and trailing cold front will move in from the west and bring some chilly rainfall to our area. There is a slight chance for a little sleet and snow to mix in with the rain on Friday. This system will also help cool us off for the weekend. Snow is possible on Saturday, but shouldn’t be enough to cause any travel issues. We could see a few more flurries by late Sunday with another bigger system possibly moving in Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.

FORECAST:

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies. Low: 32. Wind: Calm.

THURSDAY: Increasing clouds, still mild. Breezy. High: 51°. Wind: SW 10-20 mph.
