LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Young entrepreneurs take the spotlight this week for 502 Kids Biz Week.
The week-long event showcases 21 child business owners and their businesses, which range from beauty products, to fashion accessories, to desserts.
Tiandra Robinson, who also organizes 502 Black Business Week to celebrate Juneteenth in the Louisville area, said she came up with the idea after seeing many of her friends post on social media about their children’s ventures and wanted to celebrate them.
“I want them to be able to see that they do have the support of the community and that people are willing to say, ‘Hey, you’re doing something positive. How can I help you so that you can continue on this track?'” Robinson said.
The featured businesses are all offering deals and discounts throughout the week. 502 Kids Biz Week runs April 4-10. More information can be found at 502kidsbizweek.com.
