A few light showers will be possible but the biggest concern is how the clouds may impact the air show
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dry and pleasant weather is set to continue across Kentucky and Southern Indiana as we close out the week on Friday. Expect another chilly start to the day with temperatures dipping into the mid and upper 30s away from the metro. The best chance for any frost will be the sheltered valley areas to the east. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine through Friday with afternoon highs in the low and mid-60s, which is below average for mid-April but still very pleasant.
We are still looking at clouds and a few light showers for Thunder over Louisville on Saturday thanks to some weak upper level energy sliding through the area. While we aren’t expecting any heavy rain or storms, clouds may be the issue, so the biggest impact looks to be on the air show late Saturday afternoon especially if the cloud deck remains low. It should be a bit cool with highs only in the upper 50s Saturday. The fireworks should be a go with mainly dry conditions into the evening. A few light showers will be possible Sunday and again late Tuesday and into early Wednesday as afternoon highs remain consistent in the 60s.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and very chilly. Low: 40°. Wind: NW 5 mph.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny and pleasant. High: 64°. Wind: NW 5 mph.
THUNDER SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, a few light showers. High: 58°. Wind: NE 5 mph.
